Mama Ursula will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so grateful for her presence in our lives, and the positive impact that she has had on our daughter, Remy, has been enormous. Remy met Ursula when she was 10 months old, and we never felt a moment of doubt leaving our little one in Ursula’s care.
Her years of experience, wisdom and kindness are such balm to tired parents, and her empathy, patience and understanding (for parents as well as toddlers) is unparalleled. As a caregiver and teacher, she co-parented our daughter, and thus played an important role in our family.
On a day-to day basis, Ursula made sure that Remy was clean, fed, rested and happy. Remy always came home from nursery school content. Ursula provided a stimulating and nurturing environment where so many of Remy’s ‘firsts’ were encouraged and supported, from walking to potty training. Remy’s potty training went as smoothly as a parent can hope, and we are confident that much of this was due to Ursula’s guidance.
During Remy’s time with Ursula, she experienced two major life upheavals - the arrival of a baby brother, and a move to ‘Big School’ (Pre-K). Mama Ursula helped Remy with these transitions, by talking through them and teaching and practicing skills to gain confidence.
Ursula’s wealth of experience meant that she was able to offer guidance on so many aspects, like napping schedules, gross and fine motor skills development, potty-training, and language development.
We are better parents because of her. We would welcome anyone to contact us as references for Ursula.
